March M & G
Modified By SERIES 5 on 2/25/2010 9:28:05 PM)

What does everyone think we should do for our March M & G? Some options we talked about during our last M & G was Dave & Busters in Franklin Mills or Go-Cart racing at Arnold's Family Fun Center. If anyone can think of some other stuff we could do please post your ideas. We should try to make a decision by next week so I can setup the event and we can inform the other forums.

Re: March M & G

I of course plan to go to every M&G but work has been crazy these days! Anyway back on topic in the past it seems that we were getting the best numbers with having M&G at restaurants within the the city of Philadelphia NE. Its close to major highways and anyone can just stop by during the M&G, if they can't stay long and just get a snack or drink to meet everyone and leave or stay if the want. While I love the event locations like fun centers. Sometimes guys just  don't have the time to give to a 2 plus event or have some concerns about going to meet new people and planning with there family's to stay for several hours, I think when new people just want to stop by. And or like me these days just  don't have the time to spend several hours to go to an event these days. If last month M&G was a restaurant I might have been able at the end to just pop in and say hi. So with all respect I think a dinner M&G at any local restaurant for the posted hours you give would be easier and better for everyone. Either way if I am not working I will be there!

Re: March M & G

I tend to agree with Claude.  Its been tough for me to get out and a restaurant setting probably will suit better for me too.  so, i vote for dave & buster's. Marko

Re: March M & G

Brunswick Zone on Street Road is pretty nice. It's a bowling alley with two bars, small restaurant and pool tables. Just an idea.

I checked for Hooter locations and found that Hooters of Bensalem is one of the better Hooters. It seams these restaurants can vary in quality of service. Someone let me know if this is not the one we should go to. I will setup the M & G in the "Events" section of the forum for everyone to sign-up.

Re: March M & G

At one point I was a weekly regular to this Hooters. Very friendly although it does get a little crowded in the evenings during the weekend.

Re: March M & G

Bensalem is a good one, they do a car show there monthly as well. The lot is big and from past visits I think they are Good to go!

Please post your preference for the date we meet. My thought was to do the meet on a Saturday, early afternoon, like 1 or 2. Wouldn't this be the best time? It's basically between lunch and dinner time, which should be less crowded. Please Note: The Modern Mopar's first Drag race is on the 20th and a few of our members will be going racing so we should do the M & G, on the 13th or the 27th. I'd like to get this M & G posted in the events section quickly so please post your thoughts.

fRe: March M & G

I'm on break from my college courses so the 13th would work for me but either is fine.
