Had a good (but long)day at the track today. We didn't leave the track until 6:30pm just before it started raining. I was glad that Brian came along and got to experience the track first hand, next time he'll have to make some passes. I started off the day with a miserable 2.17 60ft resulting in a 13.91 pass. After the car cooled down, I made a 13.68 pass w/ a 2.07 60ft. I made it to the semi's just as the weather started to change ( rain was coming) and the air was getting much better. I lowered my dial in , but obviously not enough. The car hooked and I had my best 60ft of the day (2.02) which resulted in a 13.54 pass @102. So I was done for the day. I ended up coming home with two trophies ( class win and semi finalist) and a money payout for reaching the semis. 2006 Charger R/T

Glad to see you got through the day without the weather causing to much trouble. You know how it goes John, some days your eating chicken and some days your eating feathers. No matter what, a bad day at the track is still better then a good day at work, lol. Congrats on the class win, hardware, and especially the green backs! Glad to see Brian got some experience seeing what it's all about.
Hey Brian, if you think after going to track a few times your nerves will be better the next time, it doesn't get better, you get butterflies before each first run of the day. After you make that first run of the day the butterflies are gone and you can't get back in line fast enough so you can do it again, that's drag racing! |
